Are you looking for a system recommendation, where to find games, or the list people use to decide whether they want to join a particular game or not?


There are three ways to find a game to play on RPoL:
-checking advertised games in the Players Wanted forum
-placing an advert in the GMs Wanted forum (you would need to explain what game you want to play)
-using the search function on the front page to find a game in the genre you want. It's usually best to leave "Only active games requesting players" checked when doing a search.
If you check the "Game Proposals, Input, and Advice" forum you can also find GMs asking if a game they *might* run would interest anyone. If the idea gets enough positive feedback, the user will normally go set up the game and open it to players.


If you want system recommendations, what systems do you already know and what kind of games do you like? "Crunchy" mechanics like D&D? Lighter ones like Savage Worlds or New World of Darkness? What kind of settings do you like?
