Just heard the news the actor who played 'Jaws' in a couple of James Bond films is dead.  Richard Kiel died at age 74.  many would probably know him from 'Happy Gilmore' or 'the longest yard'.  lol I remember him being on a few Saturday morning cartoons.

I remember him also as Voltaire, one of Dr. Loveless' accomplices on The Wild Wild West tv show.

I remember him from James Bond and from Pale Rider best myself.  Sad to see him pass but at least he had a long life.

74 isn't a bad age, especially since people that big have notoriously short lives.    We were just talking about him the other day, and how iconic he was, and how terrifying he was to us as a kid, when we first saw that metal smile in the Bond Movies.

He'll be missed, and his place in movie history is assured.

A recent quote about him is one I love:

Sandro Monetti, director at Bafta in Los Angeles and a former showbiz reporter, described Kiel as having "teeth of steel, but a heart of gold".
