The announcement needs to be more open and obvious. This little piece of text away from the focus of the site is not enough.

Maybe like a huge popup with cake and candles.

Or, a virus infesting all rpol users which replaces all files on their computer with a empty file simply named Happy 14th birthday RPoL.

Maybe, we go to news channels all over the world, and when people are watching TV:

That little tiny piece of text on the upper-right corner of the screen doesn't give this birthday justice. I barely noticed it when my eyes just wandered up towards the upper-right.

Yes it does. Do not forget, rpol will sneak out at night, steal your car keys and run off with the neighbors daughter. At least while they are gone you can throw out that cruddy music it listens to these days.
