I'm wanting something Mad Max style, civilization is still out there but between the walled city states is the savage wastelands.  There could be zombies or mutants but they are not a must, just wondering what you guys think is the best setting book or system.

As I've mentioned before I'm a Savage Worlds guy but I've recently joined a AFMBE game on here and so I began reading the AFMBE book and the Unisystem is interesting.

I'm going with book to read, not game book.  I hope that is what you mean.  I've always liked Axler's Deathlands series.  With over a hundred books in the series, it will last you quite a while.
