21. RIFTS - You have 15 minutes to complete your chars.

If at the end of the 15 minutes you don't have all the %'s figured for all your skills, the uncacluatled skills are 0%. Incorrectly calculated skills are 0%.

The sad truth here is there are people who Like Justin Beiber.

And I for one like the Twilight books (not much for the movies though). Cold one vampires (the reason for the sparkle effect - perma ice) - actually I have read legends of such before. Just never in a romance type setting.

Except that perma-ice wouldn't sparkle, if it were cold enough to be frozen in the sun, it would glow blue.

lol awsome.

23. Call of Cthulhu - tell everyone they are playing a different game system, let them make chars of different races and worlds. Instead pick random normal human characters for them who are in an insane asylum, there char sheets are all who they THINK they are. Don't let them see there char sheets or tell them they are in a Call of Cthulhu game until they figure it out themselves, then give them there 100% insane chars.

Actually, I was in a game here where everyone was a personality in an individual with multiple personality disorder, and only the player of the main personality did not know.  It was a pretty neat.

I've played EiJ before, that can be a hilarious game, or it can get very repetitive.

Re: Horrible Game Ideas

24. WoD W:tO - Separate people into two groups, one group makes wraiths the other makes shadows. When ever the wraiths need to sleep the shadows take over there bodies and the wraiths play the Psyche. This switches back and forth until the wraiths finish the story, the shadows consume all the players, or the group falls apart and starts fighting IRL or OOCly to the point there is no recovery.

(I tried this.... the game didn't even get started, people fought to much)

Re: Horrible Game Ideas

I would love to play any of these except for the D&D ones. Ugh...

I'd especially love to play the time travel ones ;) (I'm actually running a game right now where one NPC lives backwards through time, and another has a time machine he uses to mess with the past to make things more punk-rocky. It's working out very well.)

One game I've wanted to run for so long ...

Pitch it as a high school drama. Run two weeks as a high school drama. Middle of second period, the English Lit professor keels over, an alien bursts out of his stomach, the military puts the school into lock-down and the city is thrown into eldritch horror.

(Unfortunately, I suspect the only person who'd enjoy it would be me as the GM.)

26. D&D - The campaign is EXACTLY the same as the original Final Fantasy game. Only you don't tell the players this until they figure it out for themselves.

7 vampires?  No no no no. Throw in one char from every setting: a vampire, a fera of some sort, fae, a Mage,a daemon, a risen, a human, a mummy, and a hunter.....you could add an umbrood and a NT1 (HITMark6) to make it an even 10

Huh? I like slice-of-life games... What's wrong with them?

And I think I remember that game idea. I considered joining it...

30. Any Replica games.

Anything that has tried to copy another game that has been successful, just because they think it will also be successful. Even going as far as copying some of the words from the other game. It just makes the game bad. This goes for any system, unless the game is tweaked in your own way.

Not so much the game itself, rather the need some people have to escape reality that such games don't provide. For them, the game is a terrible idea.
