Storium?

So what do people think of the system? Is it working how they want it to?

From what I've read about the system, it would be easy to use the system on any forum. Anyone thinking of using Storium around these parts?

Re: Storium?

I've never heard of it -- do you want to quickly sum up what you know about it?

Re: Storium?

Story game for pbp that's designed around cards, basically. Meant to be more focused on the writing than the mechanics, so free-form with really light, scene-focused rules.

Re: Storium?

Here's an article that talks about it:

My son likes to write a lot, so he's been looking into it. He hasn't pledged yet so, I can't comment on what the beta is like. They state on their Kickstarter that the beta is "an early test version of Storium. We expect it to change and grow quite a bit before the public launch."

Re: Storium?

I am good friends with a lot of people involved in its creation so I'm very biased, but it seems awesome, and fills a niche that really isn't met by anything else.

Re: Storium?

This system actually looks pretty good.  While the idea itself is nothing new - plenty of groups out there have done living novel deals or used RPGs to write acutal stories (Death of Night for example.)  However, few manage to be nearly as organized and as solid as this group.

I dig it, and will be backing it.

Re: Storium?

I blundered into it just after they closed the kickstarter, but I'll be keeping a close eye on when they're reopening crowdfunding.

I want into this beta at the very least, and if it can walk the walk have as well as it can talk the talk I'll get my subscription set up soon after.

Even if I never have the time with it that I'd like (Rpol comes first of course!) this is the sort of creativity I'm only too happy to encourage.
