Hey, All:

I've been playing around with the idea of running 5e for some friends, but have never run the system before (and only ever played about three sessions).  Are any of you interested in a mechanics-heavy test game, so that I can get a feel for it and get my 5e legs under me?

I've played in a few 5e games but never really got the hang of it. I'd love to join and learn more about 5e, too.

Groovy.  If we can pick up two to four more players, I'll be ready to jump in and get this running.  If no more players jump in, I'd be amenable to DMing a solo game, if that works for you.

I am interested. I have tried to join 3 one shots on rpol to learn the basics of 5e but all of them stopped shortly after starting.

Exellent.  Both of you PM me some quick ideas for characters, or let me know what you're thinking of playing, if you please.  Hopefully we'll get another couple of players to jump in as well.

Darn. I wish I didn't have so many games going so I could join this. I too am learning 5e. I played it for 1st time at GenCon last year. I've hopefully found a live in-person game here on Guam that also wants to play 5e.

Like I said before, this is mostly to learn the mechanics.  I'm not opposed to turning it into a real game at some point, but I wanted to get a start on getting a better grasp on the internals of the system.

If you'd like to just throw a character together, I suspect that this won't add much burden to what you're already doing.

That sounds excellent.  Go ahead and make up the character and attach it to Group F.

Any games looking for a player?

I've got an opening in my Starfinder game.  We're running through the Dead Suns adventure path, and we're just about done with the first book.  I've got a ysoki (rat-folk) operative (space rogue) that needs a player to finish up this section of the adventure.  If you want to switch to a different character after this scenario finishes up, that would be cool, or you could play the same character.

I've got an opening in my Pathfinder 1st Edition Rise of the Runelords game as well.  We just acquired a paladin, and then we lost the player.  All characters are back in town, so it would be easy to integrate a new one.

I have openings for up to six new L1 Pathfinder characters.  They should be fairly generic characters, without a complicated background -  and with only one trait.

For various reasons, I am not going to tell you the settings in advance, but I will provide a list of campaign traits to choose from later.

PM me if you are interested.

However, please note that I will give priority to those players who do not currently have a game here, assuming they propose an acceptable character.

Things have moved on somewhat, and I can now offer Skull & Shackles as a game.  This is a Pathfinder-1 AP, where characters start at L1 and progress to about L16.  However, progress is slow and (on RPoL)  I have never managed to get more than about halfway through an AP  (or its earlier equivalents)

I will accept character's based on either the CRB or the APG (apart from Summoners or Vigilantes)  However, note that fire arms are classed as Rare in this adventure, and a full-on Gunslinger will be at a disadvantage.  No evil alignments.

Priority is still given to players without games, assuming they come up with an acceptable character submission.
