Prospecting would have helped find stones of suitable size.

In addition to the spells not having cost,
you also:
-unearthed a smallish geode
-found enough root vegetables to feed some of the cultists
-found a spring
-found a couple agates
-found a dwarven whetstone

The new smith has merchant at 10, but none of those other skills...yet.

That would be up to a prospector to determine.  The site of the other spring might be a good place to start looking for agates and geodes.

Kirpich will suggest that to the prospector. He has enough business ventures at the moment.

With time having come and gone Hannatti has a wash and then seeks to find the next order of business. "Come on, Aethul, let's go find adventure?" she suggests playfully.

Oh, I enjoyed this last adventure, indeed so much we could repeat it.
