definitely a large snake of some sort, looks to be stalking the giant ermine, and from the traces it leaves, it is furred rather than scaled.

The Bouda sniffs the are and makes a face, and points to bloody footprints leaving the area.
They are large and lizardlike, bipedal, and have a dragging tail. Periodically there is an impression as if from a spear haft.

You could start by examining the scene of slaughter - it doesn't look like much meat was taken,
it looks like the killing may have been done for sport -the hide of the weasel is nearly intact as if it were skinned alive.

physiology IQ-7 in this case to recognize the organs in these weird creatures, to determine what is missing.  IT definitely looks like someone was killing and toruring for pleasure... who even does that sort of thing?
