you come to another intersection, where your mild slope levels out- there is a set of grates at the base of the slope, with a gutter beneath that links to the side gutters, as though it was built to keep water from pooling.

Aldous looks down into the grating.  "Mus' g' wet 'n here a'times."

"Thorg?"  Aldous moves to one side of the central grate, sheathes his smallsword, and sets his lantern down, then hooks his fingers around the bars, arms spread shoulder width apart for control; he waits for Thorg.

yes  you yank up the grate, which you find to be chained to the edge of the gutter. the chain is a yard long though.

"'Is way."  Aldous indicates with a head tilt which direction to shift the grate before lowering it to leave room for someone to get into the space below.

He rinses it off a bit with a little of his water.

Aldous lifts a thumb toward Aine.  "Nice goin'!"  He then turns to Thorg as he bends to the grate.  "W'sh'd put't back."

The Bracelet?  with a stupid grin on his face.

He'll put the bracelet in with the other stuff found and help put the grate back.
