"Oral histories can be imprecise," Ülo quips, "Suffice to say it was a long time ago.  After the goblin empire, before the humans?  I'm not sure, history never interested me, especially not ancient history that has little to no bearing on what matters now."

"No bearing on the present? I doubt that... history not studied is doomed to repeat itself. What happened to the goblins? Did humans co-exist peacefully with them, or anyone?"

He takes a few small stones and throws them well ahead as he walks, scouting well ahead of the group...

Any rolls to make, or do you do them in secret?

Tommy is well aware that most of the population of the Artisanal district are goblins, who are responsible for modt of the cheaply made goods available in town, although they have some master craftsmen making fine goods.

rolls to be shown low on the post, very few rolls are done in secret.  There was no mapping recorded by the last group.

Once off the stairs, Virgilio lets the little floating candle light lapse, continuing to hold his staff well up so its torch-bright glow provides the most utility.  He watches closely how the orcs, trolls, and humans work together.

"After the goblins, you say?  That's been some time, then.  I've heard they were the original inhabitants of this world, before men, elves, orcs, and so forth came.

"As Tommy said, it's important to remember the past, beyond the stories of your grandmother's time.  Just knowing the goblins were here first is important, especially if you want to understand goblins."

OOC:  Roughly how much did the individual eggs weigh?
23:08, Today: Ulo rolled 12 using 3d6.  Absent-Minded 15, remembering how many and roughly what size the eggs were.

"It is the simplest of Movement spells -- and so far, the only one I know, I'm sure I mentioned I was an apprentice -- called Apportation.  It levitates an object and moves it, but only very slowly, at about half of normal walking speed.  I can Apport up to around four hundred pounds, and I can maintain the spell indefinitely."
