X2 regards the Ewok, though he does not have to swivel his some to do so.  Well, that is a relief, he quips, his electronic voice somehow coming across as sarcastic.  How do we remove the boots?

Re: And the pooch was screwed

As you discuss the problem of the foot that holds the ship to the ground and the 3 tractor beams that could be used to foil your plans you all hear the voice of one of the guards outside of the ship,

"Hey! Hey miss! I forgot to get your number for that drink!"

[Private to X2-D9: As you find the gear you stashed, you notice that the Thermal detonators weren't discovered, and if put inside the tractor beam housing these would destroy them then it would just be a task to get back to the ship before the guards come out. The boots can be removed with the card that was stolen.. uhoh here comes a guard now.]

Inside the ship, X2 rolls up to Jub Jub.  Speaking quietly and in Ewokese, he asks the furball, Do you think you can get a thermal detonator into each of the tractor beam turrets?

Using his manipulators, X2 quockly points out how to arm the detonator to explode when thrown, and how to set the timer so that it will explode like a demolition charge.

[Private to X2-D9: OOC FYI the timers on the Thermal Dets can be set for a max of 2mins. This would not leave enough time to go reach even the second tractor beam placement before the first det goes off. You would need 3 people co-ordinating to take out all the tractor beam emplacements]

In reply to Guard (msg # 176):

Though she grimaced while her back was to the guard as he approached, upon turning to face him, Jett’s facade was back up *and* back up to full speed fast. Ever the gunslinger, she was quick on the draw in more ways than one. As her mind raced to find the right words to see if she could get yet more useful info out of him without blowing their cover, Jett started shooting... her mouth.

”My personal comm frequency? Encrypted.” she said, with a teasing, flirtatious smirk. ”But I imagine that somebody used to overseeing all this tech — keeping all these ships on lockdown, running all those tractor beams from just that booth — you must be pretty good at figuring things out. You know,” Jett added with a wider smile, ”solving a mystery.”

"Oh man, tell me about it," Jett said, shaking her head. "I mean, have you *seen* those 501-Zed police droids? You get one of those RoboCops assigned to your beat and next thing you know, it's running the joint! But yeah, don't ask me about anything crazier than a com-scan. All I know is how to squeeze a trigger and hits the bullseye, amirite?" Jett gently nudged the guard with her elbow.

Then she pointed her thumb back aboard the ship,  "We've got our Bird-Man expert having a look at the ship. Seeing if it'll need to be pulled off-world on account of the Imps thinkin' this might be outta our 'jurisdiction.' Actually, maybe you can help out?"

Jett's mind raced. Keep him talking long enough for X2 and JJ to sabotage those tractor beams or knock out loverboy and see if anything he had on him would help clear the way. After all, it already worked once — though it might also be pushing their luck. Then again, the ship was called the Hard Luck for a reason... an ironic one. The ship and its crew kept defying long odds. Maybe this was the sign they needed. Maybe the guard could help them out more than he knew?

The guard blanched at the authoritative tone of Brannexx, and when Brannexx flashes his credentials he turns viably white even in the gloom of the night. The guard can only stand there his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. He makes strange almost choking sounds unable to say anything.

17:48, Yesterday: EP01, for the NPC Guard, rolled 0 (2 excluding the wild die) using 2 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 1,{Wild}1.  See through Brannexx’s false story .

Brannexx headed toward the guard shake with every intention of trying to cause confusion to the two guards, in hopes of getting them to release the clamps and speak of other things they needed to know." We will start by inspecting your logs of access to this place. You do record every visitor to this facility I resume." He spoke as he walked, sounding bored.

As X2 goes off to follow Brannexx back to the guard station, Jett purses her lips, and furrows her brow, nodding ruefully — for the benefit of any other guards watching.

It's a "can you even believe it?" expression that she hopes will disguise her whisper through gritted teeth. She directs her whisper to the surrounding trashbins and spare parts, having lost track of exactly where the stealthy Ewok was hiding.

"Hey, Jub-jub, now's your chance. While Brann keeps them taking and X2 sees what damage he can cause, time for us to 'inspect' and plant detonators on all those tractor beam implacements."

Re: And the pooch was screwed

As Jubjub disappears into the impound yard with a thermal detonator Jett and Zach are left at the ship. As Zach and Jett wait they have the opportunity to inspect some of the arms that you were carrying more importantly Zach and Jett pick up a thermal detonator and soon realize that these ones have short timers and that there would be no way for Jubjub to set a timer that would allow him to blow up all of the three tractor beam emplacements at the same time. The demolition of the automated emplacements needs to be coordinated by 3 people else there may be the opportunity to activate the automated beams before you can take off.  This may cause a problem.

Brannaxx heads with X2 back to the guard house, the guards man in tow looking worried now that this shock inspection has been sprung on them. Entering through the side door One of the guards behind the desks looks up and a smile creeps across his face as he sees his fellow guardsman sheepishly re-entering the the main complex.

"She knock you back Andy? I told you she was far out of your league.. Huh what's going on andy?"

Says Bob as he than sees Branaxx and X2 following his compadre into the offices. Andy says,

"You better get Carl, Bob. These guys are really QCA investigators I think we've been marked for an Audit."

At the mention of QCA and audit, Bobs face blanches a paler shade of blue his partial alien heritage showing. He stands and shouts,

"Er yeah, ahh CARL! There are some people here to see you!"

Soon a man sporting a tremendous handlebar mustache exits from the back room where the subbacc game was in progress.

"This better be good Bob, I had a killer hand.. Er and who are you?"

Says Carl a look of confusion on his face at the sight of Brannexx and X2.
