Re: And the pooch was screwed

The Gravsled's engines flare and it moves out of the tank swooping across the open space past the now burning corpse of the second Adar coming to rest between the final Adar and this new comer.
The adar reels back snarling at the arrival of this difficult prey it hisses and claws tentatively at the sled.
Zachary the gravsled powers over to you and an Astromech beeps at you as the speeder slows before you.

Re: And the pooch was screwed

Jett nearly blasted the avian that X3 had steered the grav-sled toward. But because the being appeared to be in the same boat as they were figuratively, she figured they might as well help him get into the same boat literally too.

"Bran, help get that — uh, bird onboard! JJ and I'll finish off that last monster!"

With that, Jett fired another round from the E-web at the last mutant creature.

10:50, Today: Jett rolled 26 using 8 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 4,2,3,2,4,{Wild}4,2,5.  E-Web damage vs. last Adar!

10:50, Today: Jett rolled 23 using 6 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 4,1,4,6,3,{Wild}5. Blaster at last Adar!

Re: And the pooch was screwed

The creature twists and turns trying to dodge the Eweb fire and manages to take the hit on a more heavily armored part of it's body. The blast fire from the Eweb doing little more than stunning the beast.

Full reaction dodge so no action from the adar this round.
04:37, Today: EP01, for the NPC Adar dodge, rolled 10 using 3 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 3,4,{Wild}3.
04:38, Today: EP01, for the NPC Adar, rolled 24 using 5 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 2,6,{Wild}5,5,6.  Strength vs damage.

Re: And the pooch was screwed

Artie attempts to park the gravsled close enough to the lone figure firing at the creature that he can hop aboard should he choose.  He may not know who the guy is,neither do his companions, but it would sit wrong with the astromech to leave the poor fellow to the tender mercies of any more of these creatures that may be roaming around.
04:14, Today: X2-D9 rolled 7 using 4 dice with the WEG Classic system (({Wild}2,1,1,3)).

Re: And the pooch was screwed

The Mutant Adar dodges left and right, it’s armour protecting it from anything more than a stunning blow.

OOC: admittedly read the combat process and confused it with a different system... so as you we enter a new round Jubjub rolls initiative, for your side.

20:26, Today: EP01, for the NPC Adar, rolled 0 (4 excluding the wild die) using 2 dice with the WEG Classic system (({Wild}1,3)).

I believe you will get to chose again..

As X2 brings the sled skidding to a halt near the Avian, Jett shouts, "Come with us if you want to live... well, live a little longer anyway!"

Then she fires twice at their mutant attacker, hoping to finally put it down for good, so that they could all make good their getaway!

22:28, Today: Secret Roll: Jett rolled 30 using 8 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 2,5,1,4,{Wild}4,3,6,5.  E-web blaster damage - Shot 2.

The Adar leaps toward the Gravsled as X2 struggles to control the sparking vehicle Jubjub pulls the bird faced newcomer aboard as Jett unloads into the Adar blasting it bacwards in mid air as it leaped for the buffet cart.

Adar is dead. Choice es you can travel by night back to the closest inhabitable reagion risking further attacks by mutants or you can travel 15mins to the birdmans bunker if he tells you about it.

Re: And the pooch was screwed

Jett exhaled a heavy sigh of relief that was long in coming. She'd been holding her breath without realizing it. She nodded at the Avian newcomer, "I'm Jett, and if you're not just blowing smoke about being some kind of hotshot pilot, this may turn out to be a lucky day for everyone. We need to get off this burg too, that much is true, but our ship ain't exactly our ship anymore — at least not right now. And sadly, our pilot isn't exactly alive anymore either — may she rest in power."

"But hey! Strength in numbers, right? I can bullseye anything blind-folded and uh, these other guys are OK too — I GUESS."

Jett cracked a smile, as she pointed to each of her comrades in turn, "Little Murderbear over there's JubJub. Strong silent type's Brannex — there might be two X's or even three, I dunno. A little 'exxtreme,' if you ask me," Jett said, the strands of optimism starting to take shape in her voice.

She nodded at the sled's control panel, and to the astromech, "X2 says this boat may not hold together long enough to endure another attack from those things, so our best bet's probably getting to civilization, see if we can rustle up a ship for you to fly. So! What I'm saying is we're open to ideas."

Re: And the pooch was screwed

They need a pilot.  What luck!

Zachary takes an instant liking to this crew, especially the murder bear.  He tries to hide the excitement he feels about getting a chance to fly a real ship for a change, not doing grunt work for the Empire.  He knows every silver lining has a cloud.. but this seemed to be just the opportunity he needed.

He tells them all about his bunker, and assures them that if they can produce a ship, he’ll be delighted to fly.  It’s what his species was born to do, after all.

Re: And the pooch was screwed

With directions from this new bird man you soon find your selves entering an old plasteel manufacturing plant where Zachary has made his home in an old decommissioned blast furnace once the door is closed you are all quite safe for the night. A little scavenging in the morning finds you enough plates to repair the Gravsled to a serviceable condition and as you wait for the sun to rise you all have plenty of time to plan your next move.

The astromech, after spending a few hours powered down in the pilot slot of the gravsled, stars working on repair the damaged systems.  Once completed, he begins working on repairing the body damage.  After a short whole, he considers the possibility of beefing up the body for better survivabity.
