The elder sister examines the younger's hand, injured by a sling bullet.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 59):

"Prisoners separated,bound with hands behind, and marched to city."

Crispin took a sling bullet but is not gravely injured, being diffuse.  several of the dragonmen are injured, and 9 are dead.

"Whose city?  If dragon people city, what happen to them at city?"

In reply to dragon man elite warrior (msg # 64):

"Their laws, their judgement, Jednessa. The dragonfolk seem to have taken heavy losses, can we assist in healing them?"

How many dragonfolk remain?

"We can help with healing the dragonfolk as well -- Holy Sister is very tired, but I can Lend her the Energy, and she's a better healer than I.  My skill in that regard is more along the lines of a physicker or surgeon.

Both of us are injured too, but we can wait and rest; our injuries aren't life threatening, nor even crippling."

"Huh, Jednesa know what that mean."  Jednesa turns, looks at the gnolls huddled watching her, turns back to the dragonfolk leader, this time when she speaks she uses her outside voice, intended to carny for miles, "They surrender to Jednesa, they are Jednesa's people now."

Jednesa stomps back over to the gnolls, stands a yard or so back, and slowly reaches out and puts her hand on the first one's head, letting her massive hand engulf it's skull, her fingers and thumb gently curl under it's muzzle and around its throat, "Do you serve Jednesa and do as Jednesa say on pain of death?"

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 67):

"I suggest we all take an hour to recover our energy and sort out the injured, then heal who we can, before resting again and then moving on. "

She looks to the Dragonfolk for agreement...

Masugatan approaches Jednesa and speaks discreetly.  "I hope you aren't thinking of trusting those things just because they swear an oath.  Besides, the dragonmen might want them for sacrifices, as prisoners, or whatever."

Jednesa moves down the group, repeating it with each gnoll.


OOC:  Is the leader conscious or were they too badly wounded to be up and about yet?

"And she ignores me.  Great." He throws up his thug hands and goes looking for Val.

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 71):

the leader is still unconscious, and the cowed gnolls all give assent, some more begrudgingly than others. The one being questioned when Masugatan makes his comment shakes their head vigorously at the suggestion of betrayal, but flips off Masugatan once he and Jednesa move on.

In reply to Masugatan (msg # 72):

Val shakes her head."People that trusting usually end up without their purse... gods know I've collected enough of them."

In reply to Valerie (msg # 74):

"Who is being trusting now that you are concerned about?"

Once they've all sworn, Jednesa picks up the unconscious gnoll leader and puts them in the cart, "Put weapons here.  Water here if thirsty", she moves the water barrel to the ground for ease of access.

She then flops onto the ground and stretches out on the other side of the cart, "Jednesa rest."

“We’ll lose a lot more than our purses, if this goes sideways,” He tells Val.  “I’m afraid that some of us have customs that don’t fit this situation.”

"You have something against taking captives, or accepting allegiance from the defeated?  Seems to me like pretty normal thing, at least based on the old stories they used to tell in the village.  Much less wasteful than just slaughtering them, not to mention if they know you don't take captives, they'll fight to the death -- and that might be yours instead of theirs."

"Jednessa, we may have captured them in combat, but please do not forget whose lands we are on. We are still guests here. But for now, let's continue on our way..."

She asks the dragon folk to lead on, after they have been healed and energy has been recovered. Assuming the preists agree. Do we need healing rolls for that?

The sisters are happy to assist in healing dragonmen and, after some rest, will need to heal each other as well.

Emma is likewise happy to help, but will need to recover energy before and after doing so.

From her supine position and without opening her eyes, Jednesa replies, "They surrender to Jednesa.  Jednesa not kill surrender foe anymore.  Jednesa not eat other people anymore.  Jednesa not allow this thing happen to surrender foe.  Jednesa is hero."

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 82):

"That is true, Jednessa, you are a hero and no injustice should be done to surrendered foe. But they did break the law, and should receive their just punishment for that."

"Gnolls attacked, died, surrendered.  Very punished.  Dragon priest explain not just kill or sacrifice to great dragon, Jednesa listen."

“We’re adventurers.  What does that have to do with justice of any kind?  I’m afraid we’re going off mission here.”

He says all of this in a polite tone of voice, knowing it will do no good.
