In reply to EP01 (msg # 47):

Spreading his arms wide the ewok welcomes the Bothan taking the cred stick, and leading him onto our sky dragon. He takes him to cabin A (13 on main map). He shows him the galley area and indicates that he should make himself comfortable while they get ready for takeoff.

Zenna emerged from her cabin. Her cabin was next to the captain's. Nobody had stepped into Captain Fhrumpinhime's cabin since the crew returned from Jabba's stronghold. As the first mate, she would be within her rights to claim captaincy but she felt it was still too early. The wounds haven't healed, perhaps they never would.

Zenna greeted the Bothan, "Welcome aboard, name's Zenna. We'll be lifting off as soon as the cargo is stowed. I see that you've already meet Jubjub. He'll take really good care of you."

Once he is done with loading up the drums of oil, X2 parks the gravsled near his charging slot and makes sure it is locked into place.  As the bothan passenger arrives, he looks over the fur-covered organic and chirps derisively.  He then begins a diagnostics check, making surenthe gravsled in still in tip-top condition.  Despite the cargo carrier's obvious age, X2 makes sure it remains in perfect working order at all times.
02:27, Today: X2-D9 rolled 15 using 4 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 4,5,2,{Wild}4.  Repulsorlift repair-diagnostics scan.

Brannexx went to the turret to inspect the ship's weapons, before the ship lifted for orbit. He would run a diagnostic program on the targeting computer to make sure everything was in good working order.

Jett greeted the Bothan with a silent half-smile and a pointed-then-fired "finger-gun" gesture. Once they were under way however – and once Jett was sure they'd have some privacy away from prying eyes and piqued ears, she'd bring Zenna aside to share her suspicions about their new passenger.

Until then, Jett would head to her quarters to compose a few new verses on the hallikset — and to see about replacing her lost blaster. With this crew, she was sure they'd need some sharpshooting sooner rather than later....

You lift off from Tatooine. An hour into the cold voids of space the way is clear for you to plot your hyper course and get underway. Zenna is at the helm plotting her jump course, and due to a lack of suitable personnel Jubjub is in the copilot seat pressing what he is told to press. X2 is at the sensors and Brannexx is just doing the last checks on the laser cannon, all coming up green of course.

Jett exists her cabin intent on talking to Zenna about the passenger you’ve acquired. She bumps into the Bothan exiting the engine room he looks at her sheepishly saying,

“Excuse me lass I can’t seem to find the galley I am a bit peckish you see.”

X2 sits quietly plugged into the astromech socket in the cockpit.  Operatinf the ship's sensors as often as he does, one would think he would get used to the sudden influx of sensory data overloading his own built -in sensory receptors.
19:48, Today: X2-D9 rolled 6 using 3 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 3,1,{Wild}2.  Sensors-broad sweep.

"Jubjub, don't touch that." Zenna almost shouted, "Press the blue button. No, no, not the red one." Zenna reached over to toggle the 'button' with the faded blue handle. "Jubjub, I think it's best that you don't press anything right now. I need to plot the course through hyperspace. Can't afford to make any mistakes... or we might fry up in a star or something."

Just some humor.

It takes 15 minutes to plot a course that you think would do. And though the ewok is making some minor errors he isn’t doing that bad.

(removes the +10 to diff and adds the bonus for copiloting is better than a kick in the pants.)

X2 begins running another sensor sweep, this time narrowing the focus to a specific area.
Text comes across the view screen at the pilot's station.
We may have a problem.  I though I caught sight of a ship coming towards us rather than towards the planet.  But, now, I cannot seem to find it at all.
22:22, Today: X2-D9 rolled 1 (4 excluding the wild die) using 3 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of {Wild}1,2,1.  Sensors-specific sweep.

With Jett and Gruf sharing opposite sides of a wall, she wanted to be sure her new neighbor — however temporary — wasn't up to no good. And make sure he wouldn't get them into trouble. The crew was already plenty good at that already. Case in point: Jubjub serving as "co-pilot". Still, they hadn't bounced too close to a supernova, nor been sucked into a gravity well... yet. So, so far so good. And the Ewok seemed fast on the uptake in terms of tech. Zenna knew what she was doing.

Before Jett was able to talk to Zenna about their new passenger, however, she stumbled upon the Bothan doing *very* suspicious things. Hmmm.

"Galley's not in there, I can tell you that much," she said, before extending her hand, "I'm Jett. I know I didn't formally introduce myself earlier." She also offers a florid, overly dramatic bow and wave of the hand. "But you know what? I could go for a bite too. In fact, I'm kind of *always* hungry. Here, let me show you the way."

Jett uses the gesture to (hopefully) switch on her comlink without the Bothan noticing, while allowing Zenna and the others to hear the following exchange. "And I'm not a flyer myself, so I can see how the engine room might look like the galley. How'd the engines look by the way? They up to spec? You an engineer or something? Pilot maybe? I mean, I'd be curious too, I guess."

16:39, Today: Jett rolled 11 using 4 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 5,{Wild}2,1,3.  Sneak.

22:47, Yesterday: Jett rolled 12 using 4 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 1,5,1,{Wild}5.  PERCEPTION: Further investigation!

19:41, Yesterday: Jett rolled 15 using 5 dice with the WEG Classic system with rolls of 2,{Wild}3,3,5,2. Con!

[Private to Brannexx Dragenn: The contact for the drop is a CI for the Espo. You are positive that on an illegal arms deal way back during your previous life. You were a few years into your time as an Espo, just before you made detective.  The detective working the case you were on, met with that guy to confirm the bust, before you went in to take down some illegal arms dealers. He was younger but you are sure it was the same guy.]

You all hear the Bothan reply,

“No lass, I knew I took a wrong turn when I saw all them blinking lights in there. Now the galley where is it I could use a drink.”

[Private to Jett: Again a red flag goes up he said something to eat a moment ago now it’s a drink. Also you know he is lying as they say don’t try to con a con artist. (From your con roll of 15)]

"What do you mean that there's a ship coming in our direction? Inconceivable. Well no matter, it will only be a few more seconds before we're in hyperspace." Zenna smiled as everything seemed to working normally. She saw Jubjub who seemed wide-eyed at the copilot seat. "Alright JJ, why don't you pull that lever and get us into hyperspace." She motioned with her head, "Yeah, that one. Right there."

"Bantha poo!" Zenna cursed. She wondered if Jubjub broke the ship. "What did you do?!?" She just heard X2 state the sensor correction. "I've got a bad feeling about this. Get those ships on the comm and ask what they are up too."

She turned the ship away from the two ships in order to create some space. "JJ, get those shields operational. Don't break it!"

Zenna keyed the comlink to Brannexx, "We've got two contacts closing fast. We just lost our hyperdrive. X2 is going to ask the ships their purpose on tracking our movements."

"Hush!"
She shouted on the bridge, "We have a passenger. So we need to be calm." She turned on the shipwide speakers, "This is the captain. We're going to have a bumpy ride. We need to clear an asteroid field. Please go to your cabins and strap in for your safety. Thank you." She turned off the comlink.
