Heya folks
As you all know, we've got loot coming to us! And we haven't even been blown up yee....er. Well, ok, most of us haven't been blown up yet!
quote:
"Of course you are not expected to risk your lives for the mere thanks of a desert nation, there is reward to be had as well. Number one, any spoils you find on any of the dead and among the ruins of Anasa are yours. We took much of what we could find but be assured more is probably still secreted amongst the ruins. Number two, each member of your group will be paid the value of 1500 gold lumens in Dracartan pyramids; 500 now and 1000 more upon successful return. Number three, each member of the group will be given a healing elixir, poison antidote, and a moisture-tight flask containing powdered water that when reconstituted is equivalent to 4 gallons of pure water. Number four, the last but not the least, each member of the group will be able to work with our thaumaturgists to either have one of their possessions transformed or to craft a singularly unique item of use. Does this whet your appetites a bit more than mere promises and gratitude?"
Quoth the king.
So...
- Number one, any spoils you find on any of the dead and among the ruins of Anasa are yours.
- Number two, each member of your group will be paid the value of 1500 gold lumens in Dracartan pyramids; 500 now and 1000 more upon successful return.
- Number three, each member of the group will be given a healing elixir, poison antidote, and a moisture-tight flask containing powdered water that when reconstituted is equivalent to 4 gallons of pure water.
- Number four, the last but not the least, each member of the group will be able to work with our thaumaturgists to either have one of their possessions transformed or to craft a singularly unique item of use.
#1. Not Bad. We might not find anything. We have yet to find anything. So, let's skip over this one.
#2. Woot! 500 lumens! First off, Sathras has got about all he 'needs' right now. So, does our Kasmiran want to play 'moneylender' and draw up some contracts, find us a bank, and put in whatever we don't spend somewhere safe here in Carantheum? I mean, I don't really see a need for us to be carrying around
that much coin in the desert.
#3. Woot! Loot! Question, do we need to reconstitue the powdered water with... water? Just scoop a handful into our parched mouths? Can we get some instruction from our friendly Dracartan NPC?
#4. OK, here's where things get really really interesting. Should we work together to cover a variety of bases here?
I'll confess I'm not entirely sure of the extent of what we can and cannot ask for. Given that Sathras is somewhat resistant to fire and doesn't do well in cold, I'm guessing that he's going to have one of his red-iron items mingled or coated in elemental fire essence.
Someone might want something that carries fresh water (more water can't hurt) or wind (either to use as cover ala sand storm, defense to hide us, or offense to direct against foes).
Ideas? Thoughts?
